Manhattan-based Songwriter Advocates for a Woman’s Right to Choose in her Latest Release

New York, NY: Last Thursday, May 30th, Evie Joy, a Manhattan-based songwriter who focuses on empowering women, released a Pro-Choice Anthem in a campaign on Facebook and Instagram that has raised over 20,000 views and almost $300 for Planned Parenthood. Her project developed after the recent wave of legislation regarding the legality of abortion across the country. Joy’s Pro-Choice anthem, called “The Right”, addresses the politicians proposing anti-abortion bills, calling attention to larger social issues that have contributed to the conversation about abortion and advocating generally for a woman’s civil rights to her own organs.
