How We Love
FREE Interactive Concert with Prizes
This is a public engagement event put on in partnership with the New York Foundation for the Arts, the City Artist Corps (for which I was a grant recipient), and the New York Women's Fund. This event is intended to raise conscious awareness of our societal views on our individually chosen "happy endings" in life.
I will be promoting and supporting local Queens women-owned/run businesses through raffling off large and small prizes (including an iMac, gift cards to clothing/coffee/vintage/workout businesses in the Queens area, and many other items). Event attendees are entered for a chance to win just by participating in the event :)
WHAT IS IT?
A FREE musical TED-style talk that invites you to question the way we think about love. Fun for everyone, this event will feature: original music/ covers with a full band; clips and facts from an upcoming documentary featuring a dynamic range of partnerships, relationship scientists, and gender experts; and comedy.
There will be prizes from local vendors including an iMac! You get entered into the raffles by participating in the event, answering meta questions that bust relationship myths, using an app where everyone will see anonymous polled answers on a projector.
Drinks and snacks are available from food trucks in the large lot surrounding the stage and additional art is available for viewing within the Plaxall Gallery at:
